Position Summary:
The Risk Data Specialist coordinates maintenance, analysis, support, and troubleshooting of applications and databases used within the Corporate Risk Management Department. The systems are used to meet requirements as set forth by Florida Statute and to manage functions internal functions within as well as databases and internal practice improvement and research.

Responsibilities:
• Supports department leadership with reports and information generation out of computer systems in a timely and consistent manner.
• Performs data validation and integrity functions for key healthcare management information systems.
• Utilize OH IT/CE approved and in-use applications in support of the department’s daily workflows
• Downloads and manipulates data elements from established information systems in order to evaluate specific criteria.
• Performs dictionary maintenance and/or data entry.
• Assists in publication and creation of presentations depicting risk trends.
• Monitors and ensures all scheduled reports are produced within the application or the appropriate user profile.
• Prepares custom reports using our event management system and creates new reports in order to measure very specific event criteria.
• Develops non-networked worksheets using Microsoft Office tools, limited to purposes of individual user productivity improvement or departmental file sharing.
• Communicates decisions, priorities and relevant department and IT communications to department staff regarding services requests, projects and initiatives.
• Partners with OH IT and Applications teams to coordinate tactical responses to achieve objectives.
• May be called upon to provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or occur infrequently.
• Performs occasional end-user system training.
• Ensures accuracy and confidentiality of data.
• Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex and new assignments.
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Education/Training
Associate’s Degree; Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related database, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software.

Licensure/Certification
None.

Experience
Two (2) years of experience in healthcare related field and/or data management field.
