Overview:
The Catering Server is responsible for the service of all food and beverages at a scheduled event. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. 

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $18.00.

Responsibilities:
Reads and executes a Banquet Event Order (BEO) and follows through with set up and service as described  

Follows proper steps of service to ensure company standards of hospitality are met 

Serves plated meals to guests and/or monitors and replenishes food stations or buffets 

Serves beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages & table side wine service 

Assists in loading/unloading of any equipment and products event site 

Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, restocking items, and completing daily cleaning checklist  

Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

One or more years’ experience as a server in a fine dining, large scale dining facility or similar field preferred. 

Ability to meet the company standard of excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards. 

Detail oriented, ability to multi-task 

Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment. 

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours. 

Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, vendors and guests in a clear, professional and respectful manner. 

Ability to speak and read in English at an intermediate level. 

Must possess or be willing to obtain valid food handling certificate and TABC certificate prior to working at Moody Center.
