Unit Description:
Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager  for Brigham and Women's Hospital, located in Boston, MA.  In this exciting role you will oversee a main cafeteria, two "We Proudly Serve" Starbucks locations and a micromarket, all on the BWH campus in the bustling Longwood Medical Area nestled between Jamaica Pond and Fenway Park.  This position is typically Mon-Fri with some evening or weekend coverage for managers' time off. 

 

Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an 850 bed teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School is a world-class academic medical center.   Located in the Longwood Medical area, BWH is on public transportation and offers shuttles to nearby subway lines. 

 

The successful candidate will:

have oversight of day-to-day operations for all food retail areas

deliver high quality food service while engaging with customers

be a hands-on leader AND a team player

provide excellent customer service – leading a team while maintaining a clean, safe environment;

lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes

train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and operation standards.

have food management experience with a focus on front of the house retail operations

has strong understanding of POS systems, cash handling management and computer software 

can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in retail operations
