Practice Manager, Housecalls

Practice Manager, HouseCalls is responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating all activities of the Housecalls – Home- based Primary Care program. This position works with Ambulatory Services leadership, clinicians, administrative staff, other OH stakeholders, and community partners to ensure services are effectively delivered; clinical providers have the resources needed; processes are optimized to achieve best patient outcomes. Also responsible for evaluating new opportunities to enhance and expand the services provided to achieve clinical, financial, and operational metrics.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the HouseCalls program, ensuring effective patient care delivery and operational/business support functions across multiple central Florida counties. This includes managing clinical schedules, referral management, billing processes, staffing, supplies, and resource management.
• Develops and initiates, in conjunction with leadership, strategies for growth and development of clinical services delivered, to include use of analytics, technology, and telehealth to expand services.
• Providessupervisory leadership to administrative and clinicalsupport personnel. Providesfeedback/input into the performance of clinical providers through discussions with Medical Director and Ambulatory leadership.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with health system leadership, physicians, employees, policy-making bodies, third-party payers, patients, and the public. Offers feedback and input into the performance of clinical providers through discussions with the Medical Director, leadership, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Participates in the development and monitoring of the budget, including monthly budget monitoring and reporting of variances to senior leadership with plans to address these variances. Facilitates monthly business review meetings action plans to improve operational and financial performance.
• Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes practice activities and situations accurately to achieve organizational objectives and workflow needs. Organizes work, meets all required deadlines, and delegates assignments to achieve goals and objectives.
• Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, orientation, ongoing training, standards of performance, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
• Engages in continuous professional growth and development through educational programs, lectures, and other learning opportunities.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, e.g., clerical or health services or experienced in a business office setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, Epic, Kronos
Licensure/Certification
None
Experience
Two (2) years of health care experience including supervisory experience required.
