Overview:We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting cycle, from recording transactions to producing financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work independently to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

Manage the full cycle of accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

Record financial transactions accurately and timely using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

Prepare and issue invoices to customers, and follow up on overdue accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.

Process accounts payable invoices, verify expenses, and prepare payments to vendors, ensuring adherence to payment terms and schedules.

Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including calculating wages, processing payroll checks, and submitting payroll taxes.

Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide support for financial planning and decision-making.

Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to facilitate year-end financial audits and tax filings.

Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and implement process improvements as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

3+ years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a small to medium-sized organization.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile accounts and troubleshoot discrepancies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
