Complete Description:
We have partnered with our AZ-based client in their search for a Technical Support Specialist in their Network Operations Center (NOC).  The IT Operations Center is primarily responsible for providing 24x7x365 monitoring of alerts for internal and client systems and network environments

 

Job Type: FTE Direct Hire

Shift: Evening Shift (Monday – Friday 10pm – 6am)

Work Location: Hybrid Remote/Office, Phoenix, AZ

 

Responsibilities

Systems & Networking monitoring and alerting

Utilize monitoring applications to proactively identify issues and areas for improved performance

Complete systems installations and upgrades

Oversee data storage and retrieval systems

Provide desktop support for employees and clients

Level I and II troubleshooting of systems, network, and security issues

Provide detailed notes in ServiceNow to track incoming calls and troubleshooting efforts

Incident management & escalation

Perform OS installation and patching

Asset tracking and management

Active Directory administration

Prepare and update instructions to assist IT specialists with maintaining the daily routine and operations of the computer system or network

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent background and experience

Experience in automating Windows desktop/laptop builds, network, server and troubleshooting in Windows and Windows Server

Fundamental knowledge of UNIX servers, web scripting languages, network technologies, network devices and tools

Proficiency in troubleshooting PC, peripherals, software upgrades, and IT Administration

ITIL Foundation Certification preferred

Professional network and other computer certifications, such as A+ and MSCE preferred
