Senior Director Initiative Lead/Coach

We recently established the Finance Velocity Office, designed to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This newly created function will shape our transformation strategy, improve our business operations and enhance the impact we make as a function. Why velocity? Velocity is about both speed and strategy, focused on accelerating in a given direction. We will hone our approach, think big and decide quickly, living our Leadership Principles. This newly dedicated team will help us drive global consistency and operate as one team to:
Build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams. Modernize our processes to enable better, faster decision making and drive more timely insights for our clients and business partners. Implement technology to evolve how we work together to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable our long-term growth agenda. Ensure a clear and measurable set of KPIs against our Finance OKRs and Scorecard to track, report and recognize key milestones and impact statements for our work product.
The Senior Director Finance Transformation Lead and Coach will join the Finance Velocity office from the beginning to help advance the tools and methodology to build and design new capabilities and lead high impact projects across the organization. These will include revisiting our end to end forecast to plan processes, the way we set and deploy Capital envelopes and rigor test business cases and impact and shape our operating model within Finance to enable the businesses growth.
This role reports to the VP, Global Finance Transformation but will have frequent interaction with the SVP Finance Transformation Officer, the Chief Finance Officer and the Finance Leadership Team.
Essential Functions:
Develop transformation reporting: Provide line of sight and reporting to Transformation Leader and SteerCo on program progress
Escalate issues: Drive predictive, forward-looking view of performance, and escalate issues with stakeholders for resolution
Own initiative deliverables: Own trackers, tools and templates (e.g., templates for charters, business cases) for initiatives broadly as part of Program Management office and specifically lead and drive high priority initiatives that span all of Finance and are owned directly by the FVO as the accountable lead
EC meeting prep: Prepare materials for periodic Executive Committee meetings
Facilitate governance: Maintain schedules for key touch points and facilitate meetings. Circulate email communications for transformation as needed.
Support as-needed surge asks: Drive ad hoc analysis (e.g., pressure-testing, progress tracking etc.) for leadership as requested
KPI reporting: Provide KPI reporting and tangible initiative status, impact statement, measurable output of key deliverables and milestones
People: lead initiative teams guide them through charters, business cases, roadmaps, metrics etc
Influence without accountability as teams will report directly to other teams
Process Drive consistency in approach across transformation, manage templates, processes and methodologies to ensure consistency across transformation initiative
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
