Overview:
Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, a national AmLaw 100 firm, has an immediate opening in our New York office for a Digital Communications Coordinator. Reporting to the Managing Director of Marketing and the Senior Communications Manager, the Digital Communications Coordinator will be responsible for promoting and raising the profile of the firm, its attorneys, and their work product, with a special emphasis on Lewis Brisbois’ National Trial Team.

 

In addition, the Communications Coordinator will provide support to Lewis Brisbois' marketing and communications staff as needed in a wide variety of areas including: social media, website upkeep, press outreach and engagement, copywriting and editing news items, development and publication of thought leadership content (newsletters, alerts, blogs, etc.), creation of marketing collateral, contact list management, presentations, and the like.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Trial Practice and Marketing leaders to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy to promote Lewis Brisbois’ National Trial Team as a leader in the legal industry, utilizing social media and content marketing as the primary platforms.
• Write and edit content for legal alerts and social media campaigns promoting the firm’s National Trial Practice, nationwide offices, and other topics as needed.
• Balance thought leadership with humanizing content so clients meet and engage with the people behind the trials and verdicts.
• Edit lawyer-written legal alerts and blog posts and offer guidance on best practices for successful content marketing.
• Create engaging and shareable content across multiple platforms, focusing on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and the firm’s external website.
• Collaborate with trial lawyers and other members of the Communications team to develop and execute consistent marketing campaigns consisting of legal alerts, coverage of victories and client successes, and attorney spotlights to promote the firm’s unique trial prowess.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to audience engagement, and foster a positive online community.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and design, to align content with broader company goals.
• Establish and maintain a consistent posting cadence to ensure ongoing engagement and ongoing attention on positive results and developments.
• Track and report on content marketing metrics, especially as related to email campaigns, website posts and social media engagement.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Marketing, Journalism, English, or Communications.
• Three or more years of experience; law firm or professional services experience preferable.
• Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
• Tech-savvy and familiar with current social media and content marketing platforms.
• Critical thinking skills and an understanding of trends and best practices in content marketing.
• Positive attitude – no task is too great or too small.
