Overview:
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Resale Manager with a passion for creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development and implementation of standard procedures for boutique and showroom operations, including opening and closing procedures; handling of cash, security and safety training, compliance, and other relevant procedures for associates and volunteers as needed to ensure an effective operation.

Responsible for the development and implementation of new and creative ideas to attract new customers and donors. Respond to customer and donor demand.

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a standard processing of donated items; manage the rotation of items and the disposal of donated items in a timely fashion.

Responsible for the visual appearance, store flow, and overall aesthetics of the boutique and showroom by effectively executing merchandise plans and strategies.

Responsible for creating an environment of exceptional customer service, high level of trust, and a reputation for superior customer experiences.

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining highly effective inventory control policies, practices, and procedures to include loss prevention.

Responsible for business plan development to achieve or exceed monthly/annual established sales goals.

Responsible for monitoring and managing weekly activity including volume, requests made, trends, challenges, feedback, and opportunities.

Must know, understand, and be able to perform all duties of a sales associate, cashier, driver, and other staff positions to ensure a smooth and transparent operation to the customer. Refer to appropriate job descriptions for further detail.

Responsible for overall supervision of associates and volunteers as indicated on the organizational chart; monitor work performance of associates and volunteers; provide timely, constructive feedback to associates and volunteers as needed to ensure compliance of processes and an effective operation.

Responsible for establishing standards for selection, on-boarding, and training of new staff and volunteers.

Responsible for monitoring associate development and training to achieve maximum performance, productivity, and job satisfaction.

Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring all occupational health and safety guidelines are met.

Responsible for developing and guiding the overall sales strategy of the resale service line to ensure highest valuation. Creating and assigning business goals and holding self and team accountable for meeting these goals.

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining delivery and pickup scheduling practices and procedures to meet the needs of customers and donors. Focused on optimizing staff time for delivery and pickup to ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained.  Establish a backup plan for delivery and pickup to accommodate staff time-off, vacant positions, and unexpected absences to include filling in should the need arise.

Work collaboratively with the following departments to enhance operations and promote the work of the VNA.

Hospice Volunteer Coordinator – to recruit, train and retain store volunteers.

Marketing and Communications Department – to promote both stores and VNA and Hospice

Finance Department – to monitor payroll, deposits, and store financial performance.

Purchasing Department – to procure store supplies as needed. 

Maintenance Department – to ensure that all stores are maintained in safe, proper working order.

VNA & Hospice Foundation – to obtain funding for special store needs.

MIS Department – to ensure that all store technology needs are met. 

Serve as primary back up for Assistant Manager as needed.

Perform additional administrative tasks as needed/required.

 

Qualifications:
Minimum two years related experience in a sales and customer service role, luxury retail or high-end resale/consignment operation.

A minimum of three years management/supervisory or work direction experience is highly desired.
