The position: The Manager Supplier Quality owns and manages supplier quality processes and systems across all plants and corporate locations. The role is responsible for ensuring product quality and specification compliance for all products sourced. These responsibilities include deploying best in class supplier quality processes via supplier quality scorecard monitoring, supplier audits, receiving inspections at plants, and supplier quality assurance and development programs.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO   

The Supplier Quality Manager will have complete responsibility for assessing, managing, and improving the performance within the global supply chain.

This position will be responsible for fully implementing and improving the supplier quality management function inside of the organization (plants, corporate).

Develop and deploy a Supplier Guide across the supply base, including supplier monitoring, supplier stop capability and manufacturing controls, as well as processes around nonconformities (lean alerts) and receiving inspection.

Ensure supplier quality reports (scorecards) by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, metrics, and trends while creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Develop, implement, and conduct recurring and risk-based supplier audits to identify potential supplier concerns. Follow up and coordinate the action plans as result of the audits.

Lead the supplier CAR process (Lean Alerts) in case of receiving nonconforming material and support the supplier in identifying and integrating innovative and robust corrective actions.

Work collaboratively with the plant quality teams to address the needs related to raw materials and manufactured product components including development of a receiving inspection process (Gate)

Develop and maintain Supplier Quality Assurance Agreements (QAA)

Promote the use of GD techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control plans, CpK, and Gage R&R

Review and analyze customer complaints working with Warranty organization related to sourced finished products, and initiate investigation, collaborating with internal/external groups to help determine root cause of customer defects, complaints, and corrective/preventive actions.

Qualifications:
Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)

Education: Bachelor's degree in a science or technical related field

Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in a leadership role and 7+ years of experience in supplier quality (ASQ, SQA)

Skills: Strong skills and mindset in problem solving and continuous improvement. Strong conflict management skills

Certificate in Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, 8D)

Six Sigma certification / ASQ certification preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to travel on short notice; Travel: 30-50%
