Business Development Representative
About Clearpath
Clearpath is a healthcare software company that automates access to and exchange of medical records, billing records, and diagnostic imaging. We work with some of the largest health systems in the U.
S., 85% of outpatient imaging organizations, billing companies, and multi-site outpatient providers to improve workflows, reduce administrative work, and support revenue generation. We have strong market traction (3,000+ medical facilities), an established target-account pipeline, and big ambitions for what comes next. We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Representative who wants to help make that next chapter happen. You’ll work directly with Clearpath’s President and Chief of Staff and Partnerships, learning the sales process from first outreach through signed customer. You’ll have opportunities to attend conferences, meet prospects in person, contribute ideas, and grow toward an Account Executive role. If you love opening doors, connecting with people, getting creative, and seeing your work turn into real business, we’d love to meet you. What you’ll do
• Own your prospecting plan. Turn sales priorities into focused daily and weekly actions across new outreach, follow-up, and existing prospect engagement.
• Get to know your accounts. Research each organization’s workflows, challenges, decision-makers, and buying stakeholders across operations, imaging, health information management, billing, technology, and executive leadership.
• Start conversations that matter. Use phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and event outreach to connect with the right people through relevant, personalized messaging.
• Bring creativity to outreach. Find compelling ways to earn attention, make an introduction, or reengage a prospect. Test ideas and learn from the results.
• Build qualified opportunities. Understand potential fit, uncover business needs, engage relevant stakeholders, and establish a meaningful next step.
• Keep conversations moving. Follow up consistently through longer sales cycles and adjust your approach when an opportunity stalls.
• Set the sales team up for success. Provide useful account research, stakeholder context, prior communications, and clear next steps before meetings.
• Keep your pipeline organized. Maintain accurate CRM records and follow-up dates so the team has a clear view of what’s happening.
• Communicate early and openly. Share progress, flag obstacles, ask for support, and bring recommendations when something needs to change.
• Attend conferences and industry events. Represent Clearpath, build relationships, engage prospective customers, and turn event conversations into qualified opportunities.
• Participate in on-site selling. Join leadership for prospect visits, discovery meetings, and product presentations, taking a more active selling role as your skills develop.
• Build toward your next role. Learn the product, participate in discovery and customer conversations, and develop the skills to manage sales opportunities. What you bring
• At least two years of BDR or SDR experience, ideally in B2B software or healthcare technology.
• Results you can explain. You can walk us through your targets, actual performance, meetings booked and held, and qualified opportunities or pipeline generated—and explain what you did to achieve them.
• Initiative and organization. You can take a clear objective, build a practical plan, and execute without someone assigning every next step.
• Strong prospecting fundamentals. You understand account prioritization, research, personalized messaging, multichannel outreach, qualification, objection handling, and consistent follow-up.
• A natural ability to connect. You’re curious about people and their businesses, listen closely, and build credibility with senior decision-makers.
• Strong writing and conversation skills. Your outreach sounds human, gets to the point, and gives the prospect a reason to engage.
• Reliable follow-through. You keep commitments, close loops, and raise challenges early.
• Coachability and a point of view. You apply constructive feedback and are comfortable contributing ideas, asking questions, or suggesting a better approach.
• Persistence and resourcefulness. When an approach isn’t working, you investigate, adapt, and keep making progress.
• Curiosity about healthcare and technology. You’re willing to learn complex workflows and a technical product so you can have informed conversations.
• Willingness to travel for conferences, industry events, and on-site prospect meetings. Experience selling into healthcare providers, engaging multiple buying stakeholders, or supporting B2B sales cycles of three to twelve months is especially valuable. Familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus. Our outreach is targeted and personal. We expect thoughtful research, relevant messaging, and persistent follow-up; bulk email blasts aren’t part of our strategy. How we work We’re a growing, founder-led company with big goals, a hands-on team, and plenty of personality. We enjoy building relationships, getting creative, celebrating wins, and having fun along the way. You’ll work closely with leaders who care deeply about the business and move quickly. Expect direct communication, constructive feedback, and room to contribute your own ideas. We want someone who brings energy to the team and takes pride in doing excellent work. You don’t need to have every answer. You do need to ask questions, speak up when something is unclear, and follow through. We value people who can work independently and collaborate well—whether that means solving a problem, asking for help, or challenging an approach thoughtfully. We take our goals seriously, celebrate progress, and want everyone to have a voice in how we get there. What success looks like We’ll agree on clear goals and review progress together. Success means:
• Generating qualified meetings that prospects attend and that lead to productive sales conversations.
• Creating opportunities with relevant stakeholders, a credible business need, and a clear next step.
• Maintaining consistent outreach, timely follow-up, and an organized pipeline.
• Building the product and industry knowledge to contribute more meaningfully to customer conversations.
• Using results and feedback to improve your approach.
• Keeping leadership informed about progress, challenges, and where support would help. We evaluate activity alongside meeting quality, conversion, and pipeline contribution. Growth opportunity We’re looking for someone ambitious who wants to grow into an Account Executive role and is ready to work toward it. You’ll learn directly from leadership, participate beyond the initial meeting, and gain experience through conferences, on-site visits, discovery, and sales conversations. As you demonstrate readiness, you’ll have opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress quickly. Advancement will depend on sustained results, product knowledge, discovery skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage customer conversations and opportunities. We’ll discuss development milestones clearly so you understand what it takes to move forward.
