Overview Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Senior Systems Administrator - MSP Were looking for a Senior System Administrator to be the go-to escalation point for complex IT issues. This role combines hands-on support, mentoring, and client interaction in a fast-paced MSP environment. Youll handle everything from advanced troubleshooting to guiding junior engineers, while also getting involved with onsite projects and client visits. What Youll Do Serve as the final escalation point for tickets and support calls Troubleshoot across servers, networking, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments Own issues end-to-end, escalating to vendors only when needed Configure and manage client backups and ensure stability Mentor and support junior team members, setting quality standards Provide onsite support for escalations, upgrades, and projects (~25% travel) Keep detailed documentation and time entries in Autotask (or similar PSA) Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and reduce recurring issues What Were Looking For Strong troubleshooting skills with: Windows Server & Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO, hybrid setups) Networking & Security (SonicWall, HP switches, VLANs, VPNs, routing basics) Experience with Autotask or similar PSA/RMM tools Clear communicator who can explain tech to non-technical users Team-oriented leader with proven mentoring experience Reliable transportation for client visits (~25%) Must pass background check and drug screen 401(k) +Company Match Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Get notified about new System Administrator jobs in Washington DC-Baltimore Area.
