Information Review and Release Analyst Nightwing seeks a full-time Information Review and Release Analyst (senior-performance level) in the Herndon, VA area in support of a dynamic Intelligence Community component. The position offers a flexible work schedule. The Analyst reviews and thoroughly researches requests for the release of information in accordance with Executive Order (EO) 13526, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and/or the Privacy Act (PA). These requests are submitted directly to the IC component by the general public, Presidential Libraries, or received upon referral or coordination from other government agencies. The Analyst serves as an Analyst and/or Case Manager for the EO Mandated (EOM), FOIA, PA, and Appeals requests, from the receipt of the initial request letter, to creating case documentation and researching prior requests. The Analyst reviews information, collaborates with other government agency counterparts, and makes recommendations that precede the final consolidation of the IC component element response and release decisions to the requester. The candidate must apply critical?thinking skills when evaluating each unique case, utilize a broad array of customer systems and tools, maintain high?quality accuracy, manage time effectively, and collaborate with team members. The role requires readiness to perform ad?hoc duties, identify process improvement ideas, and deliver exemplary performance. Typical Duties Reviews & redacts certain equities within classified documents, records and files in accordance with established SOPs, workflows, and policies. Submits requests to the scanning team to scan any documents needed for research. Submits requests to the search team to conduct the initial search for data relevant to the case. Collaborates with supervisory client POCs to recommend and implement changes that improve processes, workflows, and SOPs. Works an eight?hour shift between 6:00?AM and 6:00?PM, Monday?Friday. Infrequently provides surge support outside of normal office hours for short?fused emergent requests. Mandatory Skills Must possess a minimum of six (6) years of experience reviewing and redacting classified information for the Sponsor or Intelligence Community in accordance with FOIA, PA, and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs, and EO 13526. We also consider candidates with six or more years of experience in a position requiring analytic skills (e.g., intelligence analysts, foreign disclosure officers, CD/CI/CT analysts) AND a demonstrated familiarity with FOIA, PA, and EO 13526. A bachelors degree in any liberal arts, scientific, or technical discipline will be considered equivalent to three (3) years of relevant experience. A masters degree is equivalent to an additional (1) year of experience. A driven self?starter who collaborates with client staff and has the capability to recommend and adapt to new processes. Must be a team player willing to collaborate and develop robust relationships with clients, colleagues, and technical teams. Skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and multitask to meet tight deadlines. Goal?oriented individual who applies critical thinking and provides out?of?the?box solutions. Ability to communicate effectively with peers and various management levels, delivering a proactive experience and high?quality services for all stakeholders.
