The system admin team is responsible for the IT server and computer system infrastructure across the enterprise including: Hy-Vees retail, corporate, subsidiary, distribution, and manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will excel at obtaining results in a fast paced environment, have excellent problem solving and communication skills, and can connect technology to real-world business challenges.**Core Competencies:*** Partnerships* Growth mindset* Results oriented* Customer focused* Professionalism**Reporting Relations:**Accountable and Reports to: Manager, IT Systems Administration Direct Reports: None **Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:* **Configure, manage, and document** system and application settings to maintain a stable environment.* **Automate** routine tasks using **PowerShell**, **Python**, or other scripting tools to improve efficiency.* **Administer and maintain** the companys **Windows-based systems** and associated applications.* **Provide advanced troubleshooting** support for the Hy-Vee IT Help Desk and internal teams.* **Develop and maintain documentation** within the teams knowledge base to ensure continuity and best practices.* **Assist in diagnosing and resolving** system issues promptly.* **Create, review, and approve** change management requests in accordance with IT governance policies.* **Participate in an on-call rotation** to ensure continuous system support and uptime.**Education and Experience:*** Proven experience administering **Microsoft technologies and Windows operating systems**.* Hands-on experience with **MDM platforms** such as **MEMCM, Workspace ONE, and Intune**.* Strong understanding of **Active Directory, Group Policy**, and integration with **third-party applications**.* Demonstrated ability to **troubleshoot complex technical issues** in distributed or enterprise environments.* Proficiency with **automation tools** such as **PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages** to streamline operations.* Excellent **problem-solving aptitude**, attention to detail, and a **resourceful approach** to new challenges.**Physical Requirements:*** Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.* Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.* Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:*** Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.* Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company.* Strong interpersonal skills.
