Overview Coinbase Institutional Sales Team is dedicated to empowering institutional clients by providing tailored solutions that leverage Coinbase's comprehensive suite of cryptocurrency products and services. Team members engage with a diverse range of clients to identify needs and demonstrate how Coinbase can meet them. Responsibilities Prospecting & Lead Qualification: Conduct targeted research to identify potential clients (e.g., institutions, corporates, hedge funds) and initiate outbound communication to qualify leads and introduce Coinbases value proposition. Sales Support: Assist senior sales team members in all phases of the sales cycle, including preparing presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials; schedule and coordinate meetings, follow up on items, and ensure seamless communication. Product Knowledge & Evangelism: Develop a deep understanding of Coinbases product suite and articulate crypto concepts clearly to prospective clients. CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce). Client Relationship Nurturing: Support ongoing relationships with existing clients, address inquiries, and identify opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling in collaboration with senior team members. Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments; provide market feedback to product, marketing, and leadership teams. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure a cohesive client experience and achieve goals. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize sales processes and enhance the client journey. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or related field. 3+ years institutional sales experience at a Tier 1 Exchange or financial institution. 3+ years managing a client portfolio including institutional clients, high-net-worth individuals, private banking clients, and clients from brokers, futures institutions, or commercial banks. Fierce passion for the rapidly evolving crypto industry and belief in Coinbases mission. Strong verbal and written communication; ability to articulate complex subjects clearly and concisely. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with an ownership mindset. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment. Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively within a high-performing team. Proficiency in G Suite and experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus. Prior experience in sales, business development, customer service, or a client-facing role (even internships) is beneficial. Nice to have Active participation in crypto-focused communities (e.g., Twitter/X, Reddit, Discord, Telegram). Experience using Coinbase or other cryptocurrency products. Basic understanding of financial markets, trading, or Web3 concepts. Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on location, the target annual salary for this position can range.
