Overview The Coinbase Institutional Sales Team is committed to empowering institutional clients by offering customized solutions that utilize Coinbase's extensive array of cryptocurrency products and services. Team members engage with a variety of clients to understand their needs and illustrate how Coinbase can address them. Responsibilities Prospecting & Lead Qualification: Research and identify potential clients such as institutions, corporates, and hedge funds while initiating outreach to qualify leads and showcase Coinbase's value. Sales Support: Assist senior sales team members throughout the sales cycle, which includes preparing presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials; scheduling meetings; following up on key items; and ensuring smooth communication. Product Knowledge & Evangelism: Cultivate a deep understanding of Coinbase's product suite and clearly communicate crypto concepts to potential clients. CRM Management: Keep accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in the CRM system. Client Relationship Nurturing: Support existing client relationships, respond to inquiries, and identify opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling in collaboration with senior team members. Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes; provide valuable market insights to product, marketing, and leadership teams. Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure a cohesive client experience and meet business objectives. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline sales processes and enhance the client experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 3+ years of institutional sales experience at a Tier 1 Exchange or financial institution. 3+ years of experience managing a client portfolio that includes institutional clients, high-net-worth individuals, and banking clients. A strong passion for the rapidly changing crypto industry and alignment with Coinbase's mission. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex topics in a clear and concise manner. Self-motivated, proactive, and result-driven with a sense of ownership. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A collaborative mindset and capacity to work effectively in a high-performance team. Proficiency in G Suite and familiarity with CRM software is an advantage. Relevant experience in sales, business development, customer service, or any client-facing role is beneficial. Nice to have Active involvement in crypto-focused communities. Experience using Coinbase or other cryptocurrency products. Basic understanding of financial markets, trading, or Web3 concepts.
