Before and After School Site Supervisor

We’re on the hunt for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to become part-time Program Supervisors for our Before and/or After School Program at William H. Barkley School in Amsterdam, NY for the 2025 2026 academic year. PAY: $15.75/hour STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt WHAT YOU’LL DO: Lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with our Healthy Kids Curriculum think fitness fun, STEAM projects, creative arts, learning games, and more. Plus, support with homework time. Build a secure, exciting, and nurturing atmosphere where children can flourish. Be the positive role model they admire daily. Support the Site Director with duties like managing attendance, handling registration, assisting with scheduling, and stepping in as the on-site lead when the Director is away. Keep in touch with families using the Playground App sharing updates, fun moments, and key info. Stay current and compliant by following OCFS regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and our host school’s procedures. Meet regularly with the Director to troubleshoot, plan, and address any pressing concerns. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (any of the following): A high school diploma or GED, plus two years of hands-on experience working with children under 13. OR A School-age Child Care Credential (or another credential recognized by the Office for the school-age group) and at least one year of experience with children under 13. OR An associate degree in fields such as Child Development, Elementary Ed, PE, Recreation, or something similar. QUALIFICATIONS: Cleared by a medical professional to fully perform job duties and free from any communicable diseases, including TB. Friendly, energetic, and approachable. Excellent interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues. Dependable, professional, and always on time. Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stretch, and stay physically active to meet the demands of a busy child-centered environment.
