The firm is known for its commitment to excellence, client-focused service, and collaborative work environment.Position Overview:Seeking an experienced and highly skilled Professional Liability Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in defending architects, engineers, surveyors, LSRPs, and other construction-related professionals in malpractice and liability cases. The firm will also look at anyone with insurance defense experience interested in this type of work. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and legal issues faced by professionals in these fields. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation, from case evaluation through trial and appeal.Key Responsibilities:- Represent architects, engineers, surveyors, LSRPs, and other construction-related professionals in professional malpractice litigation.- Provide expert legal advice and defense strategies tailored to the specific needs of clients in the construction and design industries.- Conduct thorough case evaluations, including the review of contracts, project documents, and relevant standards of care.- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.- Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.- Collaborate with expert witnesses to develop strong defense strategies and effectively present technical evidence.- Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and advising on legal risks and strategies.- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court, arbitration, or mediation as needed.- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and legal developments affecting architects, engineers, surveyors, and LSRPs.- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff as needed.Qualifications:- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.- Admission to the state bar in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania.- Minimum of 1 years of experience in professional malpractice defense, or within the construction industry- Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory issues facing professionals in the construction and design industries.- Proven track record of successfully defending clients in professional malpractice cases.- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.- Strong courtroom presence and trial experience.- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.Benefits:- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.- Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the firm.- Supportive and collaborative work environment.If you would like to learn more, please email me at sierra.ragland@gogpac.com.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
