Our approach is built on honesty, compassion, and clear communication—both with our clients and within the legal system.*Job Summary*We are seeking a full-time *Associate Attorney* who is dedicated to practicing _family law_ and developing a long-term career in this field. This position involves close client interaction, case strategy, and courtroom advocacy. Applicants who prefer limited client contact or who are uncomfortable with emotionally sensitive subject matter will not be a strong fit. The ideal candidate is open to expanding their knowledge base and developing communication and negotiation skills—core abilities for successful family law practice.*Responsibilities** Represent clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, support, and related matters* Communicate with clients in an open, honest, and empathetic manner* Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence* Participate in court hearings, conferences, and trials* Keep case files organized and adhere to deadlines* Learn and apply effective communication and negotiation techniques* Travel as required for court dates, client meetings, or administrative needs (primarily within Mississippi)* Contribute positively to a client-focused firm culture*Qualifications** J.D. from an accredited law school* Licensed to practice law in Mississippi (or eligible for admission)* Strong interest in building a career in family law* Excellent writing and verbal communication skills* Ability to remain composed and professional during emotionally intense situations* Willingness to learn and grow in communication, negotiation, and case management* Prior family law experience is a plus but _not required_*Compensation & Benefits** *$72,000–$82,000 annual salary*, depending on experience* *Bonus structure* in addition to base salary* Mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities* Growth potential within a supportive small-firm environment* Health and dental insurance available*How to Apply*Please submit:* Resume* Cover letter explaining your interest in family law and client-centered practice* Writing sample (5–10 pages)Apply through Indeed or email materials to *dana@bumgardnerlawoffice.com*.Pay: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insuranceWork Location: In person
