American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Med SurgDiscipline: RNStart Date: 02/09/2026Duration: 14 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an RN with charge experience for a Med/Surg day shift position in an adult and geriatric setting, requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS certification.ResponsibilitiesWork in a Med/Surg hospital unit caring for adults and geriatricsPatient diagnoses include diabetes, post-op recovery, wound vacs, bariatrics, and general med/surg casesRatio is 1:5-6 with a unit of 33 beds and an average daily census of 28Remote telemetry monitoring is utilized on the unitEpic EMR experience required; also uses Pyxis and SBARDay shift (3x12 hours) from 7:00 to 19:00Floating required within facility and scope of practice as neededRequired to work every other weekendNo on-call responsibilitiesResponsible for adult and geriatric patient care including monitoring remote telemetry, post-op, and wound vacsExpected to work major holidays per assignment period: one if one falls during contract, both if two, or two of three if three occurScrub color requirement is navy blueMaximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); RTO not permitted during the first week of assignmentCompliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time due to a bi-weekly orientation scheduleTravel pairs may not work the same shift on the same unitNo blocked scheduling allowedLocal candidates are accepted at the same rateRequirementsCurrent GA or compact RN license requiredMinimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experienceCharge RN experience requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredEpic EMR experience requiredFirst-time travelers are acceptedMust provide two supervisory references from a manager or abovePerm or PRN staff must be away from Piedmont facilities for one full year to return as a travelerBenefitsHigh Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and DiscountsAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-662918.
