Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking highly qualified Resident Engineers to lead construction inspection and contract administration activities on transportation infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey.Key Responsibilities:* Serve as the primary representative on-site, overseeing contractor performance and verifying compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable regulations* Manage daily inspection activities, field staff, and project documentation* Coordinate with NJDOT, NJTA, municipal stakeholders, contractors, and AECOM project management* Monitor project schedule, budget, and quality metrics, proactively addressing issues as they arise* Review and process contractor submittals, requests for information, and change orders* Prepare progress reports, maintain accurate records, and participate in project meetings* Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental compliance requirementsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, +6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred Qualifications:* NICET Level IV certification in Transportation/Highway Construction* PE License (NJ Preferred)* The ideal candidates will have significant prior experience on New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) projects* Proficiency with NJDOT and NJTA specifications, policies, and construction administration procedures* Minimum of 10 years of construction inspection and contract administration experience on transportation projects half of it in the capacity of Resident Engineer* Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills* Familiarity with electronic project management and documentation systems (e.g., Primavera, CapEx, NJDOT Site Manager)Additional Information* Relocation assistance is not available for this role* Sponsorship is not available for this role, now or in the futureAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
