Our high retention rate is influenced by a unique compensation program for positions that are more than just jobs - they're chances to grow, do what you love and build a career with usMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesA Customs Brokerage Agent will be expected to ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service within the Brokerage Department.Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activitiesDaily execution of workflow and department metricsTransfer declaration information from commercial documents, or other sources into our customs entry systemAccurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declarationBuild and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizationsEnsure compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and externalTrack and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government AgenciesUnderstand customer expectation to ensure all the elements of the SOP and KPI's are metIdentify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvementEffectively manage and organize emails for timely follow upCustomer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceUnderstanding of transportation documentation and terms is a plusEffective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsPro-active, strong organizational skillsStrong desire to learnGood computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Fluent in EnglishCollege degreeReporting Structure* Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor and ManagerExpected pay range for this position: $22.00-$25.00 per hour.Expeditors offered benefits:Paid Vacation (first year prorated based off month of hire then eligible for 15 days)Holidays (10)Flexible Days (2)Paid Sick Time (accrual rate of 1 hour of sick time per 30 hours paid)401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer matchEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental & Vision CoverageHealth Savings Account (HSA)Life and Disability InsurancePaid Parental Leave (additional eligibility criteria)Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DC FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Training and Personnel Development ProgramEducational Assistance and ReimbursementAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
