Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activities Daily execution of workflow and department metrics Transfer declaration information from commercial documents, or other sources into our customs entry system Accurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declaration Build and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizations Ensure compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and external Track and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government Agencies Understand customer expectation to ensure all the elements of the SOP and KPIs are met Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Effectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up Qualifications Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Understanding of transportation documentation and terms is a plus Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results Pro?active, strong organizational skills Strong desire to learn Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Fluent in English College degree Reporting Structure Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor and Manager Additional Information Expected pay range for this position: $22.00-$25.00 per hour.
