Successful candidates will be able to manage people, tasks, resources and make good decisions.DUTIES INCLUDECoordinate activities inside the pool areaSupervise and maintain schedule of on-duty staff (guards and swimming instructors), write daily performance reports, complete new employee orientations, assist in scheduling unfilled shifts, facilitate monthly in-service training for staffInterpret and carryout pool policy and schedule for patrons and staffOperate and maintain pool systems including daily & weekly maintenance; assist with annual pool shutdownLead staff in-service trainings and orientations Perform in accordance with appropriate safety & security standardsOther duties and special projects as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSOne year customer service experienceCurrent Lifeguard certification (Red Cross or Ellis)*Available to work non-traditional hours3 months Lifeguard experienceMust be 18 years of age or olderAbility to lift and move 50 poundsDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSAdditional customer service experienceSupervisory experienceExperience with operation of pool filtration systemsKnowledge of water chemistryPool related certifications (for example, WSI, CPR/First Aid instructor, lifeguard instructor)*Pool Maintenance Experience* Attach copies of current certifications to application.OTHERHOURS: Generally scheduled 10-15 hours per week as Pool Coordinator, including weekends.Monday-Wednesday: 5:45 pm - 8:45 pmThursday: 5:30 pm - 8:45 pmFriday: 4:45 pm - 8:15 pmSaturday: 2:30 pm - 7:30 pmSunday: 2:30 pm - 7 pmAdditional hours are available as lifeguard and swim instructor.
