This role is ideal for a project manager who enjoys hands-on coordination, strong client relationships, and managing site work in active, highly regulated facilities.As a Construction Project Manager I, you will support and manage projects through key phases of construction - from planning and coordination through execution and closeout - with an emphasis on electrical infrastructure within mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. OSHA Safety Training/Certification (OSHA 30-Hour Construction) required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Basic understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and construction sequencing. Interest in pursuing professional registration or certifications (such as PMP, EIT, or PE) is encouraged.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Construction Project Manager I supports the full project life cycle for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure construction projects, with opportunities to grow into independent project management responsibilities. Working under the direction of a Project Manager II or senior leader, this role assists in planning, coordination, and execution to ensure successful project delivery.Key responsibilities include: Support HEAPY's Vision, Mission, and Core Values in all activities and interactions. Participate in project planning, including cost estimation, scheduling, resource planning, and defining project scopes. Travel regularly to job sites to oversee subcontractors and ensure construction is progressing safely and according to design specifications. Act as an on-site liaison between subcontractors, clients, vendors, and the HEAPY project team, ensuring clear communication and adherence to project requirements. Verify that safety procedures and company policies are followed on all active job sites. Assist with the review of contracts, drawings, and submittals for accuracy and completeness. Support project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting, including updates for billing and cost control. Help coordinate and attend progress meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Participate in client outreach and communication, helping to maintain strong relationships and a Superior Client Experience. Collaborate with senior project managers, operations managers, and practice leaders to ensure timely project execution and team alignment. Engage in ongoing technical and professional development, aligned with OKR goals. Perform other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Ability to remain sedentary at a desk for periods of time while operating a computer. Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and video conferencing. Reliable transportation to and from project sites required. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.). Ability to access all areas of a job site, including ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Ability to move or transport items weighing up to 25 lbs. Must follow safety guidelines and apply established site protocols.
