The Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts II is responsible for developing and establishing quality assurance standards and measures for information technology services within the organization. The Quality Assurance Analyst II will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The Quality Assurance Analyst II will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IS processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IS initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborates with analysts, developers, network administrators, database administrators and system owners to test new software programs and applicationsAnalyzes documentation for new and existing applications under development, including requirements, system specifications and design documentation, to determine its intended functionalityParticipates in peer reviews of project artifacts including project plans, requirements documentation, mapping documentation, technical design specs, etc.Creates and documents test strategies to execute test plansWrites and executes manual test cases for functional, regression, integration and smoke testingProvides clear and detailed information that assists the development team in reproducing and investigating the issuesAssists in investigating issues as needed, potentially collaborating with developers to diagnose and resolve defectsCreates, generates, and maintains test data sets that support thorough testing of the applicationContributes to refining features and stories by offering testing-related insightsProvides input into estimation discussions for testing effortsAnalyzes test results, documents defects, and collaborates with project teams to identify and test solutionsIdentifies and communicates opportunities for improvements to systems, applications and processesAssists with software testing practices and procedures to drive quality and testability of products and servicesPerforms patch testingPerforms other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 4 years related work experience, or Master's Degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 2 years of related work experience, or at least eight (6) years of work experience requiredPrior knowledge and working experience on Agile testing Methodology preferredTest Management Tools: Azure DevOps Test/Jira Zephyr, SQL Server Management Studio, Sharepoint etc.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process, knowledge of STLC and SDLC process preferredAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentMust be detail-orientedAbility to multitask and shift priorities quicklyStrong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environmentAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients); proficiency in the English language is required
