The role supports a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) classroom designed as a structured, self-contained environment focusing on behavior regulation and SEL instruction. The caseload includes approximately 12 students, primarily children with autism spectrum disorder and/or emotional and behavioral disorders, supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals.Key Responsibilities:Deliver targeted academic and behavioral support aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.Design and implement structured daily routines and SEL-based instructional strategies.Collaborate effectively with paraprofessional staff, related service providers, and families.Develop, monitor, and update IEPs, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and student progress data.Qualifications:Active Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement (EBD, ASD, or comparable).Demonstrated expertise in behavior support, classroom management, and SEL-focused teaching.Prior experience in self-contained or high-support special education classrooms preferred.Schedule and Compensation:Full-time position, 1.0 FTE, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience and licensure.Comprehensive healthcare benefits.W2 contract status with dedicated assignment support.This opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about providing structured, supportive environments for students with significant social-emotional and behavioral needs.
