Site Mechanical Superintendent

POSITION OVERVIEW:The Site Mechanical Superintendent reports to the Construction Superintendent/Site Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all the mechanical construction work for TAS module installation.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with Site Manager and Aftermarket Leadership to identify and hire contract mechanical employees as needed including welders, fitters, millwrights, forklift and crane operators as well as general mechanical helpersCoordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans for the site mechanical teamRegularly report project status to Site ManagerOversee and mentor all mechanical staffWork with EHS lead to ensure best safety practices and company policies are being implemented and followedAssist Site Manager in maintaining budget and schedule for all mechanical activitiesEnsure that the most up to date drawings and construction documents are being usedWork closely with Site QA/QC Leads to maintain appropriate recordsAssist lessons learned process and communications to Site ManagerManage mechanical drawing red-line process for site correctionsResolve mechanical conflicts and miscommunications with all parties and disciplinesJOB SKILLSStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven problem solving skillsBasic skills with MS Office suite and construction management softwareKnowledge of construction terminology and practicesFamiliarity with building codes and safety regulationsEDUCATION & TRAINING* High School diploma plus extensive construction office management experience* Mechanical licenses and formal training are a plusMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:10 years of experience in mechanical construction and modular installationProven track record of collaborating with various construction disciplinesAbility to travel domestically on short noticeHigh energy, driven individual that communicates and interacts well in a team environmentResults oriented individual with good verbal and written communication skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Position is at least ~50% at a desk working with computer and ~50% travel developing potential customer relationships and/or coordinating TAS project site teams and customer contractors. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading.
