The successful candidate will effectively transform complex technologies into actionable growth strategies for the company.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement a detailed Electronic Warfare (EW) business strategy that targets immediate and emerging opportunities in the Department of Defense (DoD) and allied markets.Analyze and define market segments, growth drivers, procurement channels, and competitive positioning within the EW landscape.Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met with Silvus' evolving suite of RF and networking technologies.Stay informed about CEMA, JADC2, and other modernization initiatives for foresighted planning and demand anticipation.Customer Engagement and CaptureForge and strengthen relationships with Program Offices, PEOs, and Prime Contractors active in the EW and spectrum-operations sectors.Drive opportunity identification, qualification, and capture planning by working alongside internal technical and program teams.Represent Silvus at industry events, trade shows, and government forums to enhance visibility and credibility in the EW domain.Strategic PartnershipsPursue and secure strategic partnerships with OEMs, system integrators, and channel partners to accelerate market entry and solution adoption.Assess and propose optimal business models and teaming strategies that enhance reach, speed to market, and maximize return on investments.Facilitate cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth execution from opportunity pursuit to contract award.Business Planning and ReportingConstruct a data-informed business plan and forecast that aligns with corporate goals.Regularly report to senior leadership on pipeline development, capture performance, and competitive landscape insights.Maintain accurate CRM records and comply with company sales management processes.Travel Requirements - Expect to travel up to 50% of the time to enhance customer engagement.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.Over 10 years of experience in business development, capture management, or program management in defense or aerospace, with a focus on Electronic Warfare, SIGINT, or RF systems.Track record of securing and managing DoD contracts valued between $1M and $20M.Thorough knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, contract vehicles (IDIQ, OTA, BPA), and FAR/DFARS compliance.Technical familiarity with RF systems, spectrum operations, and various EW mission areas.Established relationships in DoD EW programs and with major defense contractors (e.g., L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Raytheon).Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire.Must be a U.S. Citizen to comply with U.S. government contracts.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.Comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Attack and Support technologies, including RF sensing, threat detection, jamming, and spectrum management.Awareness of CEMA, SIGINT, cyber-electromagnetic convergence, and modernization initiatives.Proven ability to define new markets and develop go-to-market strategies for advanced defense technologies.Strong leadership skills with a track record of aligning cross-functional teams with customer needs.Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.COMPENSATION$180k - $200k annual base salary with opportunities for milestone incentives, leading to potential total earnings between $180k and $280k annually.
