The largest device company in the world - with complementary businesses in Surgical and Vision Care****CNC Mill Programmer / Setup / Machinist (Engineer I - Mechanical R&D Support)****2 Year contract** - Conversion potential**Pay:** 35.00-50.00 DOE**Benefits:** Medical, Dental, Holiday, PTO 401K matchingShift: 1st (6:00 A.M.-2:30 P.M.) - Overtime/Weekends: As neededSeeking a hands-on CNC Machinist/Programmer to support Mechanical R&D builds for Ophthalmic Instrumentation. This role involves programming, setup, and operation of CNC mills (Okuma preferred) to produce precision prototype parts.Responsibilities:+ Program and operate CNC mills using Surfcam or Mastercam (10+ yrs exp., including surfacing).+ Machine parts in stainless steel, steel, aluminum, and plastics.+ Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and GD&T drawings.+ Maintain tight tolerances (typically +/-.002").+ Perform complete setups and First Piece Inspections with minimal supervision.+ Work directly with engineers on design modifications and first articles.Qualifications:+ 10-15 years CNC machining experience; Okuma prototype experience preferred.+ Strong balance of programming, setup, and machining skills.+ High attention to detail, positive attitude, and flexibility to work overtime when needed.This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
