Job Title: Certified Medical AssistantLocation: Jacksonville , Florida, 32214Shift: 8hr DaysHours of Performance: 0730 to 1600 Monday through Friday.Unit: Family Medicine ClinicThis is a year-long contract. Shorter assignments will not be considered. All RTO in the first 90 days must be noted at submission time, not exceeding 7 days.Degree: CertificateEducation: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA/ARC onlyCurrent certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists or other formal program as specified in the TO. Possess certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants OR registration by the American Medical Technologists OR the American Registry of Medical Assistants OR National Center for Competency Testing.Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of full-time experience in the last 3 years as a CMA in an outpatient family practice or primary care setting.For Submission: Resume (all gaps greater than 30 days explained), RN license, Certifications (as noted in the PWS)Core Duties: Prepare examination rooms prior to the patient's arrival. Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed. Check the patient's vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading. Obtain and document a patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form. Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered. Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms. Complete lab and x-ray requisitions under clinic policies. Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when the patient is released. Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US.MUST HAVE FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS Resume or CV (No gaps) Copy of Education or transcripts with Prime Source Verification (PSV) from National Student ClearingHouse or agency attestation.
