Required Skills: Graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program (CAAHEP, ABHES, or military training) Current certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration with the American Medical Technologists or equivalent Minimum of one year of full-time CMA experience within the last three years, preferably in outpatient family practice or primary care Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medical history documentation, diagnostic procedures, and maintaining examination rooms Ability to accurately perform routine lab and x-ray requisitions and enter demographic data into electronic health records Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and team members Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Nice to Have Skills: Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems Familiarity with clinic-specific policies and procedures Additional certifications or training in phlebotomy, ECG, or other diagnostic procedures Bilingual abilities Preferred Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience in outpatient or primary care settings Other Requirements: Full-time availability; scheduled hours are Monday to Friday, 0730 to 1600 Must provide two recent letters of recommendation from healthcare providers or supervisors Ability to work effectively in a military healthcare environment RTO requests within the first 90 days must be noted at submission and not exceed 7 days This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to your professional growth and success.
