Location:Hybrid / In office 4 days per week, currently Monday through ThursdaySalary Range:Competitive and based on experienceIntroductionWe are seeking an experienced Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and release of switch components utilized throughout vehicles. This role offers a unique and challenging experience, combining electrical, mechanical, styling, software, and vehicle-level system performance.Required Skills & Qualifications Applicants must be able to work directly on W2 Previous experience related to the development of switches or other electrical/electronic components for automotive applications Experience in Design and Release project engineering; 3 years experience related to the development of electromechanical components Ability to work independently without close supervision; self-starter BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics) Preferred Skills & Qualifications Program / Project Management - Experience managing a project from inception to launch Analytical skills - Experience in applying analytical disciplines in the product development process to come to applicable solutions Leadership / Communications - Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with various levels of team members from 1:1 to larger audiences MS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics) Day-to-Day Responsibilities Work within a cross-functional team (supplier, program teams, studio, ergonomics, purchasing) Utilize core engineering documents and core design rules to lead Full-Service Supplier (FSS) delivery of DFMEA, DVP&Rs, 8D's, and all other program-specific foundation documents Create component specifications, Quality Documents, and drawings with the FSS Conduct technical design reviews with the component supplier Support and generate development of Functional Specifications, Engineering Specifications, Diagnostic Specifications as needed Work closely with suppliers and quality group to understand and improve R/1000, TGW concerns Ensure cost targets are met and cost-efficient products are achieved Lead component development/release and component concerns resolution utilizing company Product Development tools Attend, lead, and support Commodity PATs and support Vehicle/Program Launch as needed Travel required to support assembly plants and/or supplier facilities, especially during program launch phase Continuously improve D&R process by enhancing requirements based on lessons learned Company Benefits & Culture Inclusive and diverse work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive team culture and collaborative work atmosphere For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
