This Medical Support Assistant (MSA) position is in the Central Business Office of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) located in Little Rock, Arkansas.Total Rewards of a Allied Health ProfessionalThe Medical Support Assistant performs duties related to the receipt, intake, and indexing of health and administrative information pertaining to lodging operations. The primary duties of the Medical Support Assistant may include but are not limited to:Serves as the primary liaison between CAVHS and the contracted lodging facility for scheduling appointments.Schedules, cancels, re-schedules patient's lodging and/or consults; enters no-show information; monitors the electronic wait list; prepares for lodging visits.Interprets and verifies provider consults in accordance with VHA national scheduling guidelines.Monitors medical staff verification of lodging eligibility/entitlement for lodging benefits of all veterans using the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and Consult Tool Management (CTM) systems.Advises the Veterans and medical staff of the Veteran's entitlement to lodging.Reconciles the sign-in rosters from the contracted lodging facility located in the community daily and at the end of each month.Works closely with the contracting officer representative to correct discrepancies, when identified.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Schedule will be discussed during the interview.
