SummaryServes as the team leader of the enterprise operations systems team, and performs complex research for a group of server systems programmers required to install, support, maintain, patch, manage, troubleshoot, and upgrade software on specific operating systems, utilities, and enterprise applications.QualificationsRequiredAny combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.Five (5) years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining computer operating software systems, one (1) year of which shall have been in a project management oversight and/or personnel supervision role.Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.Knowledge of the theory, principles, functionality, and specifications of computer operating software systems for servers, workstations, and personal computers.Knowledge of the principles and practices of systems programming.Ability to conduct evaluative studies, solve complex problems, and design and install solutions.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Major Duties/Essential FunctionsServes as the point of contact for projects involving the deployment of new operating software or projects involving the upgrade of existing software.Performs, directs, and monitors the generation of these systems to include upgrades and patches, to ensure that new systems meet enterprise specifications, function properly, and are installed with minimum user disruption.Manages enterprise domain controllers ? both on-premise and cloud.Manages internal Domain Name System (DNS) activities.Complies with enterprise standards including current standards, procedures, and documentation.Develops and administers procedures to incorporate new or changed server operating software.Develops training for and trains employees, as required.Provides user support and education.Conducts performance studies to monitor efficiency.Acquires and manages SSLs for software and hardware.Documents corrective proceduresMaintains the technical library.Performs related duties as required or assigned.Work Environment/Physical Requirements
