Family Support Specialist - Remote Requisition #: req15704 Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) Salary: $28.32/hr. - $31.15/hr. This position includes a $1,500 Bonus Note: Internal candidates do not qualify for the bonus. Candidates must reside in one of the following Maine counties: Androscoggin, Aroostook, Cumberland, Franklin, Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Sagadahoc, Somerset, Waldo, Washington, or York. This is a remote position that requires travel for in-home client services. How your role makes a difference As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in preventing family conflict and ensuring children's safety at home through our HOMEBUILDERS program. Your work will empower families to overcome challenges before they escalate, allowing children to remain safely with their parents. Your responsibilities may include: Conducting in-home visits 3-5 times a week with a manageable caseload of approximately two families. Coordinating with local Child Protective Services to understand safety risks and enhance service quality for families. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to teach essential parenting and communication skills. Participating in training, meetings, and supervision sessions for professional development. Strong clinical and crisis intervention skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient computer and typing skills. Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license and three years of driving experience in the U.S., and able to pass a motor vehicle records check. Ability to pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency checks. Willingness to support and integrate the agency's Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity. Note: Bethany's compensation plan accounts for geographical differentials.
