Location: Fargo, North Dakota Type: Contract Job #101132 Electronics Technician - Onsite (North Fargo, ND)Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMLocation: North Fargo, ND (Onsite)PPE Required: Metatarsal shoes on Day 1Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team in North Fargo, ND. This role involves a mix of hands-on electronic testing and PC-based programming, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and supporting product design. Approximately 60-70% of the work will be performed on a PC, including creating programs for the flying probe using TAKAYA APT-1600FD software.Essential Job Functions Perform inspection, testing, and failure analysis to determine causes of defective electronic assemblies. Research and summarize data for root cause analysis. Rework products per company and industry standards. Build test harnesses, loads, fixtures, and circuit boards to support product design. Document and maintain records of work performed. Communicate process or design issues to supervisors and assist in corrective actions. Conduct manual tests of electronic circuits and PCBs per engineering instructions. Collaborate professionally with internal and external customers. Create or update test documentation for prototype products. Design and build advanced engineering test boxes. Train other personnel as required. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors and engineers. Required Education A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience. Required Experience Minimum 1 year in electronics, manufacturing, engineering, or related industry (3+ years preferred). Required Skills & Abilities Troubleshooting PCB subassembly failure modes to identify root cause. Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components. Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.). Ability to read schematics and engineering diagrams. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble/disassemble products. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of PCs, spreadsheets, and word processing. Ability to work independently and learn advanced computer applications. Preferred Skills 3+ years of hands-on PCB troubleshooting and soldering experience (fine-pitch SMT). Experience with advanced test equipment (logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers). Familiarity with PCB layout, 3D printing, and machining various materials. Experience with John Deere electronic components and systems. #LI-AT1
