Tittle: Engineering Technician IILocation: Fargo, NDSalary Range: $35 - $40/hrIntroductionJoin our team as an Engineering Technician II, where you will support design engineering on prototype bring-up, PCB assembly troubleshooting, testing, and debugging. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on product engineering support.Required Skills & Qualifications Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2 A.S. in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience Minimum one year of experience in electronics, manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry; three or more years of related experience is preferred Experience troubleshooting PCB subassembly failure modes to identify root cause Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components Understanding of test equipment and methods (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) Ability to read engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets Ability to assemble and disassemble products Ability to maintain and repair lab equipment Ability to learn advanced computer applications Ability to research, tabulate, and summarize data Ability to work with little or no supervision Possess effective written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing Strong mechanical aptitude Preferred Skills & Qualifications Three years of hands-on experience troubleshooting PCB subassembly failure modes to identify root cause Three years of hands-on soldering experience with fine-pitch surface mount components Three years of hands-on experience with electronic test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc. Experience running and maintaining 3D printers Experience with printed circuit board layout Experience machining and modifying various materials e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics, fiberglass, etc. Experience working with advanced test equipment (logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.) Experience working with electronic components and systems Experience working with equipment and machinery Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform inspection, testing, and failure analysis to determine the cause of defective electronic assemblies Research, gather, and summarize data for use in determining root cause Rework products per company and industry standards Build test harnesses, loads, fixtures, and/or circuit boards to support product design Document and maintain records relating to work performed Inform supervisor and engineering of process or design problems and assist in corrective actions Conduct manual tests of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions Communicate with both internal and external customers in a professional and effective manner Create or update test documentation when required for prototype products Design and build advanced engineering test boxes Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and engineers Train other personnel as required Company Benefits & Culture Comprehensive health benefits Opportunities for professional development and growth Inclusive and diverse work environment For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
