Special Education ParaprofessionalPosition OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in a school setting. The SPED Para works under the supervision of a certified Special Education Teacher and assists students academically, behaviorally, and socially to promote independence and success in the classroom.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct support to students with special needs in individual, small group, and classroom settingsAssist with implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plansSupport students with academic tasks, classroom routines, transitions, and organizationAssist with behavior management and positive reinforcement strategiesSupport students with personal care needs as required (toileting, feeding, mobility)Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentCollaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staffQualifications60 college credits or Paraprofessional Certification RequiredPrevious experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferredKnowledge of special education practices, behavior supports, or classroom accommodations is a plusAbility to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a teamStrong communication, patience, and interpersonal skillsWhy Join UsMeaningful, student-centered work in a supportive school environmentConsistent school scheduleOpportunity to make a direct impact on student successProfessional growth within education and special education fields
