Position Summary:The Department of Humanities is looking for qualified candidates to add to a pool of adjunct instructors to teach courses on-campus and/or online. The Department of Humanities houses majors and minors in English, Integrated Media Arts, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and World Languages and Cultures. The department is accepting applications for positions to be filled as needed.Qualifications:Masters degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited college or universityPrevious experience with teaching in higher education is preferredStrong interpersonal communication skillsAbility to utilize various software programs including the institution's Learning Management System (Canvas) related to the delivery of online course contentResponsibilities:Teach assigned course in accordance with its established learning outcomes.Develop and implement course assignments and deliver learning activities that permit measurement of course student learning outcomes.Foster an inclusive and collaborative course environmentReport progress updates and final grades for students.Provide access to and timely response to students via in-person (e.g., office hours), videoconference, or telephone.Uphold the mission and vision of D'Youville.D'Youville University continues to grow its commitment to Diversity, EQUITY, and Inclusion.
