POSITION TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANTQUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or G.E.D.REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalRESPONSIBILITIES:Supports student academic progress by tutoring individuals or small groups Assists students with physical needs Supports appropriate student conduct - monitors behavior, uses positive student management techniques, and reports misbehavior to teacher or administrator Performs routine clerical/instructional duties in support of classroom instruction, e.g. grading, copying, attendance reporting, filing, laminating, typing, cutting, gathering/creating lesson materials, decorating bulletin boards, escorting students, etc. Uses technology to support the curriculum, i.e., computers, VCR's printers, cameras, copiers, etc. Participates in meetings and in-service programs as requested by the building principal Communicates effectively with students, staff and the community Supports and implements all school and district policies and procedures Performs various other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
