Central Office/Data Center Installer Level 3Nationwide TravelPay Rate: $26.00 - $28.00 per hourEssential Job Functions:• Good knowledge of AC/DC power and installation.• Perform hardware standalone testing, such as power verification, device basic provisioning.• Work independently with minimal supervision• Good knowledge cable management and cable routing• Ability to provide daily activity reports and flag and concerns and recommendations• Maintain tools assigned to the job as well as monitor tool calibration requirementsRequirements:• Minimum 3+ years Data Center/PoP/CO installation experience.• Understand and use established safety requirements/procedures for equipment, ESD, power, & radiation.• Install frames, cabinets, and misc. equipment• Install cables, power, inter-cabinet, alarm punch-down.• Able to follow established procedures and resolve any site issues i.e.: material and engineering discrepancies.• Measure and mark floors, position and assemble iron work and cable rack.• Drill floors, install raised floors, install anchors, level, align and secure equipment including earthquake requirement.• Able to run Cabling, Fiber, Coax, and properly secure to appropriate locations.• Solid work ethic, capable of self-directed work.• Adhere to all Telecom Standards and PracticesEducation/Certifications:• CPR First Aid• ESD protection course• Safe Lifting Practices courseExperience/Minimum Requirements:• High School Diploma• Valid Driver's LicenseOther Skills/Abilities:• Able to work without constant supervision.• Able to lift 50 pounds• Able to climb a ladder and work in high places• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices• Able to competently use basic hand and power tools• Able to read simple mechanical, electrical, MOPs, JIMs, and instructional documentation and update record as required• Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment• Aware of procedures for working around and on "in service equipment "• Know standard Telecom color code• Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach - strong interpersonal skills
