Join Our Dynamic Operating Room Team As a Surgical Technologist I specializing in General Surgery, you will play a vital role in supporting our surgical teams and ensuring optimal patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and commitment are essential in making a positive impact on patient outcomes. Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215 Compensation: Competitive pay range of $26.10 - $39.15, with a substantial $10,000 sign-on bonus available in addition to a $2,000 sign-on bonus for evening shifts. Schedule: Full-time evening shifts with 8 or 10-hour options, Monday through Friday, including some weekend call responsibilities. On-call duties require arrival within 30 minutes. Key Responsibilities: Ensure a clean, sterile operating environment and provide support during surgical procedures by preparing materials, supplies, and equipment. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team. Assist with the setup and breakdown of operating room equipment and maintain the functionality of specialty carts. Participate as a second assistant during surgical procedures when needed. Ensure effective communication with the surgical team and report any equipment or supply issues promptly. Qualifications: Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is needed within 6 months of hire. No prior experience is required, but familiarity with surgical procedures and equipment is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry weights as necessary for patient and equipment handling.
