General DescriptionQueens College is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time (12 month) benefit position reporting to the Director of Sports Medicine in the Department of Athletics and Recreation. The successful candidate may attend national and conference meetings; and perform other duties assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. Duties include, but are not limited to: general healthcare assistance to 230 intercollegiate student-athletes (injury evaluations, referrals, rehabilitative treatments); provide necessary practice and game coverage for all intercollegiate teams (including travel, late nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather); assist in summer camp coverage; and assist with monitoring and maintenance of the athletic training room.The Queens College Department of Athletics offers varsity, intramural and recreational athletic opportunities to members of its campus community.
