We are currently seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens position near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania . This is a great opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care with a mix of clinic hours and on-call responsibilities. The assignment is set to start October 28, 2024 , and ends November 4, 2024 , with additional on-call coverage needed at the end of December. Key Details: Location : Near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania Start Date : October 28, 2024 End Date : November 4, 2024 (Additional dates: December 30-31, 2024) Practice Setting : Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient coverage Call Hours : Week-long call from 5 PM to 5 PM Clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM during non-call days Call coverage is also required for two days at the end of December Volume : 5-10 inpatient consults per day during on-call hours Patients per Shift : Information not provided Requirements: Board Certification : Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residency, in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology Fellowship : Completed a Gastroenterology Fellowship License : Active Pennsylvania state license Certifications : BLS is required Skills & Procedures : Upper and Lower GI endoscopy with biopsy Foreign body removal Fulguration of bleeders ERCP (Diagnostic and Therapeutic) Sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy Facility and Travel: Nearest Airports : Pittsburgh or Latrobe Lodging : Accommodations provided by the hospital EMR System : Epic This position offers a unique opportunity to support a facility with a critical need while enjoying the scenic and peaceful area near Twin Rocks, PA.
