Job Highlights: Location : Near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania Duration : October 28 - November 4, 2024 Work Setting : Combination of inpatient and outpatient care Call Schedule : 5 PM 5 PM during the assignment period Clinic Hours : 8 AM 4 PM with call coverage outside these hours Patient Load : 5-10 inpatient consults per day while on-call Required Qualifications: License : Active Pennsylvania medical license Certification : Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology within 5 years of completing residency Fellowship : Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology Experience : Comfortable performing standard Gastroenterology procedures, including upper and lower GI endoscopies Key Procedures and Skills: Upper GI Endoscopy : Biopsy, foreign body removal, and treatment of varices Colonoscopy : Biopsy and polyp excision ERCP : Diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities Esophageal Dilatation & Manometry : Diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) : Diagnostic and therapeutic uses Liver Biopsy and Small Bowel Biopsy Additional Information: EMR System : Epic Privileges : Temporary privileges are available Travel & Lodging : Provided by the hospital, with nearest airports in Pittsburgh or Latrobe Support : No supervision of advanced practice providers or residents is required This locum tenens assignment provides an excellent opportunity to practice Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
