Join us to make legends happenTHE ROLEThe Observatory Ambassador Captain is a guest-focused role responsible for creating a memorable experience for visitors. This position ensures guests from New York City, the United States, and around the world enjoy a welcoming, engaging, and high-quality visit to the Observatory.ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet and welcome guests upon arrival in assigned areas Ensure the safety and security of guests while on tour or within designated areas Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive experience Retain and apply operational knowledge (e.g., Observatory layout, experience locations) to assist guests with accurate and helpful information Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, maintaining a confident and professional presence at all times Support operations by performing additional duties as assigned by management Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations; practice safe work habits; and complete all required safety training, including role-specific certifications Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time by leadership SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES n/a QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma - or equivalent At least 1 years' guest service experience, preferably in the Hospitality Industry Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to engage with guests in a fast-paced, interactive environment Demonstrated professionalism and exceptional customer service skills Strong ability to retain and accurately communicate historical and technical information.
