Roles and Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze key legislative and Congressional updates; synthesize, summarize, and present to agency leadership Identify members of Congress with interests relevant to programs Support in the planning of Congressional briefings, visits, and other events Research, identify and track legislation relevant to our activities and keep staff informed of developments Draft reports on Congressional and legislative priorities or on potential opportunities as required Create presentations and talking points for leadership and staff that communicate agency priorities and objectives Requirements: 2+ years of experience in a legislative affairs, policy, or lobbying role 2+ years of experience working within Congressional Affairs of with members of Congress Experience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15 Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment Minimum degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
