Legislative Affairs Specialist Join Booz Allen Hamilton as a Legislative Affairs Specialist to provide high‑quality Congressional affairs support. Whether analyzing proposed legislation, helping to build coalitions, or advising on key initiatives to support an emerging requirement, our clients need someone who can help manage interagency operations while also managing responses to external inquiries in a timely manner. As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical advisor for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA‑H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government‑funded research and development programs. You’ll work with world‑class scientists and engineers to support the development of high‑impact solutions to society’s most challenging health problems. What You’ll Work On Research, identify, and track relevant legislation. Monitor and analyze key legislative and Congressional updates and synthesize and present to leadership. Identify Members of Congress with relevant interests in ARPA‑H programs and support planning Hill visits and other events. Identify key programs or champions in relation to ARPA‑H programs and detailed leadership points of contact within each of the agencies or programs. Draft reports on Congressional and legislative priorities or on potential opportunities as required. Create presentations and talking points that communicate agency priorities and objectives. You Have 2+ years of experience in a legislative affairs, policy, or lobbying role. 2+ years of experience working within Congressional affairs or with Members of Congress. Experience interacting and communicating with senior‑level executives, including SES or GS‑15. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to operate independently within a fast‑paced start‑up environment. Bachelor’s degree in a Political Science field. Nice If You Have 2+ years of experience in an ARPA setting, including DARPA, ARPA‑E, or IARPA. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize responsibilities. Ability to manage multiple short‑ and long‑term projects effectively. Strict attention to detail and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables. Excellent research skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Compensation Salary range: $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
