Title: Technical EditorLocation: Greenville, TXOnsite/remote: ONSITEPay: $35-$40hrConversion Salary: $75,000JOB DESCRIPTIONAn employer in the Greenville, TX market is looking for a Technical Editor to join their team. This person will be responsible for reviewing technical documentation that is required to support operations and/or maintenance of military and commercial aircraft and associated system. The Tech Editor will receive work from the Technical Writing team and review for grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. before getting approved. This person will spend majority of their time reading, reviewing documentation, and style guides and providing feedback to the Technical Writing team.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in related field2+ years of experience in a copy editing positionGood knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.Great communication skills and not afraid to ask questions and take initiativeAbility to obtain clearanceNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Aerospace experienceKnowledge of how to read engineering diagramsDay to Day: An employer in the Greenville, TX market is looking for a Technical Editor to join their team. This person will be responsible for reviewing technical documentation that is required to support operations and/or maintenance of military and commercial aircraft and associated system. The Tech Editor will receive work from the Technical Writing team and review for grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. before getting approved. This person will spend majority of their time reading, reviewing documentation, and style guides and providing feedback to the Technical Writing team.Compensation: $35/hr to $40/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
